Job Description

Senior Manager, Market Intelligence responsible for developing market intelligence capabilities. Leading insights and recommendations in global Tools and Outdoor business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance our market intelligence function, ensuring we stay ahead of trends and competitors
  • Provide regular, actionable input into group strategy and key priorities, connecting the dots across complex data sets and business challenges
  • Transform technical and market data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for senior leadership and business partners
  • Craft and deliver engaging presentations and data visualizations that tell the story behind the numbers, influencing decision-makers at all levels
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with speed, purpose, and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with multifunctional teams (category management, brand insights, commercial insights, etc.) to ensure market intelligence is embedded in business decisions
  • Advocate for continuous improvement and investment in market intelligence tools, methods, and partnerships
  • Oversee relationships with data and analytic suppliers, evaluating and integrating innovative solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Business Analytics, Market Intelligence, Strategic Insights, or Strategy
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data from multiple sources (e.g., Numerator, Yipit, NPD, Euromonitor)
  • Exceptional communication skills: Able to translate technical language into plain speak and present complex information in a simple, visual, and compelling manner
  • Strong storytelling and influencing abilities: Comfortable presenting to executive committees and senior leadership
  • Project management expertise: Skilled at managing multiple projects with speed, agility, and a focus on results
  • Stakeholder management: Trusted partner to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Proactive & self-driven: internally motivated while comfortable working in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Mentorship: Ability to develop and inspire direct reports for future growth
  • Big-picture mindset: Sees connections across data, trends, and business objectives
