Job Description
Senior Network Engineer designing and improving services for IS and non-IS caregivers. Collaborating in a team to sustain critical systems in patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with developers, testers, and program managers to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services
- Sustain Providence’s Nurse Call and clinical communications platform
- Enable continued modernization of legacy nurse call, middleware, and enterprise Care Communication initiatives
- Thrive in a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of related experience
- Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
- Experience with n-tier solutions
- Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis)
- Ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually)
- Ability to influence software engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations
- Experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions
- Good experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions
- Experience in problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis
