Job Description
Senior Privacy Manager providing legal consultancy on data protection to various clients. Engage in GDPR implementation and project management for compliance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Primary point-of-contact role for clients across diverse industries — communication via e-mail, phone and video calls
- Independent, pragmatic legal consulting on all data protection matters — from data processing agreements to purposes of processing
- Support GDPR implementation using the privacy software Proliance 360 — clear, pragmatic and scalable
- Take responsibility in varied projects: data protection audits, technical and organizational measures (TOM) reviews, records of processing activities, data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), policy development, and employee training
- Regular knowledge exchange with experienced experts — transfer of best practices
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to colleagues — quality assurance and knowledge development
Requirements:
- Degree with a legal focus (e.g., First/Second State Law Examination, business law degree, or a comparable program)
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in data protection — ideally in consulting, a law firm, in-house, or as an external DPO
- Experience in providing technical guidance and/or leading subprojects
- Strong client orientation, hands-on mentality, and a structured, reliable working style
- Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) and fluent English
