Job Description

Senior Project Manager delivering Symbotic’s AI-powered warehouse automation projects. Leading cross-functional execution from site preparation through system acceptance across customer sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Own project delivery, ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives are achieved
  • Lead cross-functional teams through project execution from site preparation and coordination to final system acceptance
  • Coordinate timelines with engineering, supply chain, quality, installation, and commissioning leaders
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
  • Improve processes, standards, and communications to increase efficiency and collaboration
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Foster transparency, timely decision-making, and strong partnerships across project participants
  • Work directly with customers and Symbotic executive leadership
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to other project managers as needed

Requirements:

  • Remote, travel-based position for someone in the Eastern or Central time zone
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing large automation, material handling, or construction projects
  • Expertise in scheduling, scope, cost, and risk management for complex technical projects
  • Background in robotic automation, ASRS, or material handling strongly preferred
  • Experience managing design/build, installation, and construction projects
  • Stakeholder management experience across executives, clients, contractors, and engineering teams
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Strong problem-solving skills under pressure and ability to implement creative solutions
  • Effective negotiation skills and ability to balance competing priorities
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, earned value management, and data-driven performance tracking, including Smartsheet/Jira
  • Ability to provide technical insight and facilitate design/process discussions
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to drive and/or fly to client and customer locations
  • Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet and in restrictive areas of 24 inches
  • Ability to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Compliance with safety requirements and protocols, including lockout/tagout and fall protection
  • Ability to work on construction sites with required PPE, including hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, and safety harness
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit
