Job Description

Senior Software Engineer building Connected+ Supplier integrations for commonsku’s promotional-products SaaS platform. Streamlining purchase-order-to-invoice workflows and powering supplier partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently scope, plan, and implement well-defined features and components within the Connected Supplier domain
  • Contribute to system design discussions focused on performance, maintainability, and scalability
  • Break down work into milestones and modules with Product Managers and Engineering Managers
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Own engineering outcomes for domain projects and co-own larger cross-functional initiatives
  • Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Improve system and team processes by addressing inefficiencies
  • Translate business goals and customer feedback into technical implementation details
  • Communicate status, risks, and blockers across teams and stakeholders
  • Support and mentor fellow engineers
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, technical debt management, and on-call rotations
  • Build Connected+ Supplier integrations and streamline purchase order to invoice workflows

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally in a SaaS or product-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, system design, relational databases, and API development
  • Hands-on proficiency with React, PHP, Python, or modern programming frameworks
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with agile workflows, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools such as Datadog
  • Proven ability to independently deliver complex features
  • Experience collaborating across teams while balancing technical quality and practical tradeoffs
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring peers and fostering an inclusive engineering culture
  • Comfort working independently and asynchronously
  • Experience with or enthusiasm for working with AI
  • Familiarity with the promotional products industry, supply chain workflows, or e-commerce integrations is a bonus
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada, excluding Quebec
