Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building secure, scalable web applications for ADTRAV, a corporate and government travel-management company. Developing full-stack features, cloud services, tests, and production support.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design and recommend effective software solutions
- Develop new features and enhance existing applications securely, scalably, with thorough testing and high performance
- Analyze complex data and software to produce actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders in a fast-paced agile environment
- Provide engineering estimates
- Troubleshoot and debug new areas and services
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests
- Resolve software defects and production issues promptly
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient code for high-performance web applications
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Ensure applications meet security, performance, and scalability requirements
- Use Agile development tools to track and communicate project progress
- Stay current with information technologies and emerging trends
- Work non-standard business hours to attend meetings and provide support via text, phone, and email in a 24/7/365 environment
- Participate in professional development and training
- Represent ADTRAV and foster positive relationships with employees, clients, vendors, partners, and stakeholders
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of related experience developing high quality production quality code
- Deep understanding of C#
- Hands-on experience with ASP.NET, MVC and/or Blazor
- Experience developing and debugging web applications
- Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud services
- Experience creating database objects, writing queries in T-SQL, and writing stored procedures
- Experience with ORMs, preferably Entity Framework
- Experience with Monitoring and Telemetry tools/data
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment Tools, preferably Azure DevOps
- Experience with source control such as Git or TFS
- Experience with issue tracking systems such as Jira, Azure DevOps
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including strong business writing abilities
- Ability to estimate work and deliver projects on schedule
- Ability to learn ADTRAV’s business and products quickly and adapt to a dynamic development environment
- Ability to work remotely while meeting company home office and productivity requirements
- Ability to work outside normal business hours and provide 24/7/365 support
- Ability to successfully pass a credit, criminal, and/or employment reference background check
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
