Job Description

Senior Solution Engineer helping Snowflake sell cloud data warehousing and AI solutions to telecommunications customers. Demonstrating technology, supporting enterprise proofs of concept, and closing complex deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs
  • Strategize on navigating winning sales cycles and closing large deals
  • Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors
  • Demonstrate and communicate Snowflake’s value throughout the sales cycle, from demo through proof of concept to design and implementation
  • Support enterprise Proofs of Concept
  • Maintain deep knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and marketing
  • Conduct deep discovery of customer architecture frameworks and connect them with Snowflake Data Architecture
  • Act as a technical thought partner for customers navigating the AI landscape

Requirements:

  • 7–8 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales environment
  • Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
  • 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in the cloud
  • Broad experience with large-scale database and/or data warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies
  • Experience with Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric concepts
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python
  • Ability to connect customer business problems with Snowflake solutions
  • Ability to perform deep discovery of customer architecture frameworks and connect them with Snowflake Data Architecture
  • Proactive curiosity about the AI landscape
  • Proven ability to use AI code-generation tools
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience with GSIs such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture beneficial but not required
  • Approximately 30% travel
