Job Description

Senior Solution Engineer helping Snowflake, a cloud data platform, win complex enterprise deals. Demonstrating technology, supporting proofs of concept, and guiding customers through sales cycles.

Responsibilities:

  • Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
  • Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate Snowflake's value throughout the sales cycle
  • Support demos, enterprise Proofs of Concept, design, and implementation
  • Work directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs
  • Strategize how to navigate winning sales cycles and close business
  • Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors
  • Position Snowflake relative to competitive and complementary technologies
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve products and marketing
  • Connect customers' business problems with Snowflake solutions
  • Conduct deep discovery of customer architecture frameworks and connect them with Snowflake Data Architecture

Requirements:

  • 7–8 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales environment
  • Outstanding presenting skills for technical and executive audiences
  • Broad experience with large-scale database and/or data warehouse technology
  • Experience with ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric concepts
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python
  • Ability to connect customers' specific business problems with Snowflake solutions
  • Ability to deeply discover customer architecture frameworks and connect them with Snowflake Data Architecture
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience with GSIs such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture beneficial but not required
  • Approximately 30% travel
  • Ability to comply with Snowflake confidentiality and security standards
  • Ability to keep customer information secure and confidential
