Job Description
Senior Solutions Engineer owning enterprise AI infrastructure deals for Qdrant’s open-source vector search engine. Designing vector search architectures and production POCs for strategic APAC customers.
Responsibilities:
- Own technical strategy in enterprise deals from first call through production deployment
- Partner with Account Executives to qualify, architect, and close deals across the Asia-Pacific client base
- Act as a Technical Account Manager for a portfolio of existing enterprise customers
- Identify new use cases, expansion opportunities, and upsell paths
- Advocate for customers and coordinate with Account Executives and internal resources
- Design vector search architectures for high-scale workloads, including multi-tenant agentic systems, hybrid search pipelines, and low-latency retrieval at billion-vector scale
- Build production-oriented proof-of-concept systems demonstrating Qdrant’s performance advantages
- Advise customers on AI infrastructure decisions, migration from legacy databases, architectural lock-in avoidance, and deployment across cloud, on-prem, or air-gapped environments
- Contribute reference architectures, technical guides, and reusable proof-of-concept frameworks to the field engineering knowledge base
Requirements:
- 5+ years of pre-sales or solutions engineering experience
- Background in data infrastructure or systems architecture ideally
- Proven track record running technical qualification and proof-of-concept processes within a live sales cycle
- Experience designing or operating distributed systems, search infrastructure, or data pipelines at production scale
- Ideally, hands-on experience with RAG pipelines
- Working knowledge of LLMs, embedding models, and agentic frameworks
- Ideally, working knowledge of MEDDICC/MEDDPICC or a structured sales qualification framework
- Ability to apply qualification frameworks in real deal conversations and connect technical decisions to business outcomes and deal strategy
- Strong communication across technical and executive audiences
- Experience with vector search, approximate nearest neighbor algorithms, or semantic retrieval systems is a plus
- Background with Rust, C++, or other systems languages is a plus
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, hybrid cloud, on-prem, or air-gapped deployment environments is a plus
