Job Description
Senior Systems Engineer supporting GDIT’s Indian Health Service EHR modernization program. Integrating biomedical devices and Oracle Health technologies for improved healthcare access.
Responsibilities:
- Support Federal EHR HIT Modernization program activities for the Indian Health Service Electronic Health Records Modernization program
- Contribute to device engineering workstream programs and projects
- Develop solutions to complex device engineering workstream problems
- Perform systems design, development, and integration throughout the systems life cycle
- Oversee installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of biomedical and end-user devices with customers
- Prepare and maintain process and procedure documentation for device engineering projects
- Provide solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
- Maintain knowledge of biomedical and end-user devices and the Oracle Health EHR system
- Work cross-functionally with cybersecurity and implementation workstreams
- Coach less-experienced professionals and potentially serve as a team or task lead
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting medium-to-large IT projects
- Experience with Oracle HEALTH
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Experience developing solutions to complex device engineering workstream problems
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed
- Experience with biomedical device design, device integration, and medical device technologies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines
- Ability to produce high-quality documentation
- U.S. citizenship is not required
