Job Description
Software Development Engineer building AI-powered applications and platform services for CVS Health. Delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions with LLM integrations, AI agents, and enterprise automation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable AI-powered applications, platform services, APIs, and automation solutions
- Support enterprise AI initiatives across cloud environments
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Data Science, Operations, Security, and Platform Engineering teams
- Contribute to AI Platform products and foundational services, including LLM integrations, AI agents, observability, governance, redaction, analytics, and developer productivity tools
- Ensure reliable, secure, high-performing solutions and adherence to enterprise standards and best practices
- Build and maintain enterprise-grade applications and services
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Collaborate across technical and business teams
Requirements:
- 3+ years of software development experience building enterprise-grade applications and services
- Strong proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Hands-on experience with GCP, Azure, or AWS
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub, and automated deployment practices
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and scalable system design
- Familiarity with databases, data modeling, and data integration techniques
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Equivalent combination of education, professional training, and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
