Job Description

Software Test Analyst ensuring the quality and reliability of government web applications undergoing modernization. Collaborating on testing methodologies and implementing automated test suites.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for legacy and new system components.
  • Validate application and system performance against technical requirements.
  • Design and implement automated test suites to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve software defects.
  • Verify data integrity during database migrations and system updates.
  • Conduct security and compliance testing to ensure adherence to government standards.
  • Document and report test results, including detailed bug reports.
  • Participate in code reviews from a quality assurance perspective.
  • Assist in defining and improving QA processes and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math, Science, or related field
  • Minimum of at least three (3)+ years of professional software testing experience
  • Strong, demonstrated experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or equivalent)
  • Experience writing test reports, test plans, and test procedures that capture all results for each test activity
  • Experience testing web applications and database-driven systems
  • Familiarity with government software development and testing processes
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level security clearance
  • Experience with testing Oracle PL/SQL based systems (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of NoSQL database testing (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with testing in microservices-based environments (Preferred)
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks testing (Preferred)
  • Experience developing automation for web application benchmarking and scripted testing (Preferred)
  • Experience testing systems in a closed-network environment (Preferred)
  • Experience using TestRail (Preferred)
