Job Description

Solar Project Manager leading preconstruction, financial, field, and closeout activities for Moss, a national solar EPC and construction firm. Managing multi-state teams, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on-site administrative management of solar projects
  • Ensure work complies with quality, schedule, budget, and solar project requirements
  • Manage preconstruction services through GMP or Lump Sum contract
  • Negotiate owner contracts and coordinate with design teams and owners
  • Establish programs to comply with MBE requirements
  • Identify subcontractors, investigate sites, and identify long-lead items
  • Develop bid packages, schedules, site utilization plans, and value engineering ideas
  • Manage project financials, revenue projections, cash flow, budgets, and financial reports
  • Process owner requisitions, change orders, insurance, bonds, and purchasing schedules
  • Recruit, manage, evaluate, and develop jobsite staff
  • Administer document control and RFI processes using CMiC
  • Manage field operations, subcontractors, vendors, permit inspections, safety, and quality-control programs
  • Conduct daily jobsite walks and maintain site cleanup and rental equipment
  • Promote client relations and coordinate with owners
  • Manage project closeout, warranties, final payments, and subcontract closeout
  • Participate in company events, task teams, industry organizations, recruiting, training, and continuing education
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager within the Solar/EPC construction industry
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with construction project management applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and building and maintaining motivated teams
  • Highly developed project management finance skills
  • Requires high travel
  • Full time – exempt – salaried
