Job Description
Strategic Projects Lead building PMO and delivering complex studio projects for Mecka AI’s robotics data infrastructure. Leading project managers, capacity planning, budgets, risks, and cross-functional execution.
Responsibilities:
- Build the project management office for studio work, including a unified view of active projects, regular review cadence, and escalation paths
- Lead the most complex studio projects from scoping through delivery
- Own project plans, targets, budgets, and risks
- Translate customer requirements into delivery plans and plan capacity ahead of demand
- Coordinate hardware, engineering, operations, and partner teams around one plan
- Clear cross-functional blockers
- Hire, coach, and lead a team of project managers
- Report project status and risks weekly to the Head of Studio
Requirements:
- 5 to 8+ years in technical program management, management consulting, product operations, or operations leadership
- At least 2 years managing a team
- Record of leading cross-functional programs to fixed deadlines, ideally involving hardware
- Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into a clear plan and provide leadership with clear trade-off recommendations
- Experience with hardware pilots, computer vision or robotics data collection, or production settings such as film or manufacturing is advantageous
- Experience scaling delivery through external vendors or partners is advantageous
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where they reside
- Applicants must regularly use AI tools as a core part of day-to-day work
