Job Description

Supply Chain Contract Manager negotiating contracts and procurement terms for Sanford Health, a rural U.S. health system. Managing RFPs, supplier relationships, and category management opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and present opportunities supporting the category management lifecycle for products and services
  • Lead contract and procurement negotiations, including financial value and business terms and conditions
  • Advise internal customers and the Category Management team across clinical and business lines
  • Cultivate supplier relationships to maximize contract value and performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize results
  • Assist in developing and executing contract opportunities with Supply Chain functions and resources
  • Negotiate products and services across multiple business lines according to clinical and operational requirements
  • Initiate, develop, and manage Requests For Proposals (RFPs)
  • Analyze and interpret data for opportunities or impacts
  • Connect strategy to outcomes by understanding organizational requirements and supplier motivations
  • Participate in Category Management process development and continuous improvement
  • Plan and implement recurring work using established procedures, consulting Category Management leadership as necessary
  • Adhere to federal and state laws and regulations governing contracting and procurement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in a related field required, with five years of related work experience potentially considered in lieu of education
  • Minimum three years of related work experience
  • Related experience in supply chain, contract preparation and/or administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
  • Routine negotiation of contract terms and conditions
  • Project management skills
  • Communication skills
  • Adaptability to a diverse portfolio of work
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of commonly used Microsoft Office functions
  • Supply Chain or Contracting certification desired
