Job Description
Sustainability Engineer conducting energy audits and implementing efficiency measures for clients. Collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to deliver sustainable energy strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting energy audits
- Implementing energy efficiency measures
- Supporting the development of sustainable energy strategies for diverse client base
- Collaborating closely with senior engineers, project managers, and clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 7) or higher in Energy Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in energy engineering, sustainability consulting, or a related discipline.
- Experience completing energy audits (S.I. 426 Compliance).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Irish building regulations, energy performance standards, and sustainability certification systems (Climate Action Plan Targets).
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Driving License: Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Desirable Requirements: ISO50001 Implementation/Maintenance Experience, CEM/CEA Accreditation, Experience with energy modelling software building energy simulations, and thermal comfort analysis (BER Certification/Part L Compliance).
