Job Description

Remote System Director leading executive and broad-based compensation programs for Bon Secours healthcare ministry. Advising leaders and managing centralized compensation teams, systems, compliance, and union support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop compensation programs, policies and plans for executive, management and staff levels
  • Counsel senior leaders on pay decisions, compensation practices, and policy and guideline interpretation
  • Provide detailed analysis/models, innovative recommendations, and expert advice to management and HR executives
  • Educate and coach management on compensation philosophy, salary structures, market analysis, merit and bonus processes
  • Partner with HR Communications to develop employee messaging on compensation topics
  • Oversee annual implementation and administration of compensation programs and systems
  • Manage merit, market and equity analysis, recommendations and adjustments, and short- and long-term variable compensation
  • Ensure data integrity within data management and reporting
  • Lead cross-functional workgroups addressing associate pay, mergers and acquisitions, cost-saving initiatives, audit findings, and compensation system development and implementation
  • Partner with the Human Resources Compensation Committee independent consultant on plans and programs requiring review and approval
  • Support materials development for Compensation Committee presentations
  • Ensure accurate reporting, budgeting and compliance with applicable compensation laws and regulations
  • Provide support and expertise for successful union negotiations and bargaining
  • Lead the system Compensation team through mentoring, goal setting, policy development and resource optimization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Management or Accounting
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • 10+ years of progressive compensation experience, including healthcare compensation experience
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Experience leading and mentoring others
  • M&A experience
  • MBA or MHR preferred
  • PHR or SPHR preferred
