  • Work within a structured, high-volume workflow that requires sustained focus, careful attention to detail, and consistent follow-through
  • Receive and apply editorial feedback across assignments to strengthen consistency and adherence to team standards
  • Communicate professionally and collaborate effectively within a fully remote editorial team supporting federally funded biomedical research programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, a science-related field, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant editing experience, or an appropriate combination of editing experience and education
  • Strong copyediting skills in grammar, punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and consistency
  • Familiarity with the AMA Manual of Style
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed style guidance and program-specific instructions with accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word and Outlook
  • Experience using Track Changes and comment-based workflows in Word
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise editorial queries and comments
  • Ability to maintain concentration and accuracy across full document reads of dense or repetitive material
  • Ability to manage time reliably and work within target levels of effort without sacrificing editorial quality.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages
  • 401K with company match
  • Paid time off (including vacation, sick, personal days, holidays)
  • Paid parental leave
  • Military leave
  • Bereavement leave
