Job Description
Technical Program Manager leading Akamai’s cloud and edge technology programs. Coordinating cross-functional teams, roadmaps, risks, and stakeholder communications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead product programs and initiatives across the division from concept to market
- Align product, engineering, and business teams to execute critical programs
- Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, Network Operations, Sales, Services, and Support to support the product roadmap
- Manage and mitigate risks and develop contingency plans
- Maintain and communicate the backlog of work with key stakeholders
- Guide stakeholders on priorities based on business needs
- Communicate program status and expectation changes to senior leaders using standardized methods
- Maintain and iterate on a roadmap of committed work through the current calendar
- Lead projects, enhance performance, and increase customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- 5 years of relevant experience
- High School / Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
- Experience working within a technical team
- Good understanding of the software development life cycle
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with Internet technologies or protocols such as DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP
- Ability to analyze workload and communicate technical issues to senior stakeholders of varying technical ability
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work across global constituencies
