Job Description
Senior Technical Program Manager leading complex software initiatives at New Relic, an observability platform. Driving delivery, metrics, risk management, and cross-functional engineering alignment.
Responsibilities:
- Drive technical projects from ideation to delivery, managing complex project schedules, removing roadblocks, and maintaining smooth processes
- Identify and operationalize metrics and key performance indicators to track progress
- Drive issue resolution and mitigation across the organization
- Create and operationalize processes to improve organizational effectiveness and meet business goals
- Drive communication, collaboration, and commitment across disparate groups with competing priorities
- Work with teams to identify and manage top risks
- Drive decisions to align leadership on appropriate project risk levels
- Facilitate meetings ranging from small groups of 3–5 people to large groups of 100 or more
Requirements:
- 8+ years of professional experience leading and delivering complex initiatives in cross-functional work environments
- 8+ years delivering products against plan in fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility, and often ambiguous environments
- Proven hands-on experience leading large-scale software development projects, preferably in a SaaS environment
- Experience with agile teams and practitioners, adapting process and style to program needs
- Proficiency in program management fundamentals, including team building, role/responsibility definition, DACI and RACI frameworks, risk management, work breakdown structures, project tracking, and resource management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience (bonus points)
