Job Description
Temporary Legal Assistant at New Frontier Immigration Law supporting the Legal Team with immigration cases. Bilingual in English and Spanish required, working remotely with flexible hours.
Responsibilities:
- Handle high amounts of incoming calls.
- Draft immigration forms.
- Identify and evaluate customers’ needs to deliver satisfaction.
- Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive discussion.
- Provide accurate, valid, and comprehensive information by using the right methods/tools.
- Manage and update assigned cases every month.
- Manage complaints, provide proper solutions and options within the time limits; follow up to secure resolution.
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents.
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
- Go the extra mile to engage customers.
Requirements:
- English fluency, able to read, write, and speak with complete ease and near perfection.
- Working business hours in the Arizona time zone.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferred, not required.
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal is preferred.
- Passion for immigration law and demonstrated commitment to social justice and our mission.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; must be able to work in a multi-tasking fashion.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to advocate with governmental and other organizations.
- Ability to effectively manage a large caseload.
- Experience working with diverse populations, especially non-native English speakers.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with clients of diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
- Some proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative.
- Strong phone administration skills and active listening capabilities.
- Customer orientation and capacity to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and control time effectively.
