Job Description

Waking Night Support Worker providing overnight safety, reassurance and person-centred care for A Class Care’s vulnerable clients. Completing welfare checks, records and emergency responses across Northamptonshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Remain awake and available throughout the night to ensure the safety, comfort and wellbeing of the person supported
  • Provide reassurance and emotional support throughout the night
  • Monitor the client’s wellbeing and respond to changes
  • Complete regular welfare checks where required
  • Maintain accurate and timely care records
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or concerns
  • Support elderly clients or clients with learning disabilities
  • Promote dignity, independence, choice and person-centred care
  • Work with children, young people or vulnerable adults while fulfilling safeguarding responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Previous experience gained within a care setting is required
  • Experience in care or support work
  • Compassionate, reliable and professional
  • Confident working independently throughout the night
  • Calm and able to respond appropriately to unexpected situations
  • Able to communicate clearly and maintain accurate records
  • Available to work between 10:00pm and 7:00am on weekdays and/or weekends
  • Willing to complete all required training and recruitment checks
  • Able to travel to client locations within Northamptonshire
  • Satisfactory references required
  • Enhanced DBS check required
  • Right-to-work verification required
  • Completion of the safer recruitment process required
  • Must not be barred from working in Regulated Activity
  • Compliance with Codes of Conduct, ethical standards, safeguarding policies and expected behaviours
