Job Description

Account Coordinator Team Lead supporting HPI’s self-funded health-plan administration. Supervising coordinators, implementing client plans, and resolving account and claims issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Vice President of Client Services, Director of Client Services, and Account Managers with plan implementation for new clients
  • Assist with overall servicing of account issues for existing clients and brokers
  • Coordinate implementation of new groups
  • Produce and compile educational materials
  • Resolve claims and service issues
  • Provide administrative support to the Client Services department
  • Communicate plan design changes, renewal changes, and other relevant information to internal staff
  • Supervise and train the Account Coordinator team
  • Assign projects to the Account Coordinator team
  • Report escalations with the Director and Vice President of Client Services
  • Identify areas of opportunity and concern with the team
  • Track PTO and maintain a PTO tracker
  • Coordinate PTO approvals for Client Services staff, including Account Executives, Account Managers, and Account Coordinators
  • Serve as the in-house client contact when the Account Manager and Client Service Representative are unavailable

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years’ related work experience
  • Flexible schedule in order to participate in employee benefit fairs as requested
  • Must be able to travel within the New England area as required to participate in employee benefit fairs
  • Ability to coordinate with management as effectively as with subordinates
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of the team
  • Ability to anticipate and understand systems interactions
  • Must be detailed, analytical and accurate
  • Recognize the need for follow-thru and follow-up
  • Ability to work within specified timeframe and meet deadlines
  • Recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials as appropriate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience in healthcare industry a plus
