Job Description

Accounts and payroll specialist processing Australian invoices, reconciliations, and end-to-end payroll. Supporting accurate records, reporting, compliance, and month-end close remotely from the Philippines.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and post supplier invoices and manage end-to-end accounts payable transactions
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and support accounts receivable processes
  • Process end-to-end payroll in accordance with relevant awards, employment agreements, and statutory requirements, including PAYG and superannuation
  • Process employee expense reimbursements according to company policies
  • Post, review, and reconcile corporate credit card transactions
  • Process daily bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Maintain supplier, customer, and employee master data in finance and payroll systems
  • Administer the timesheet system, including setup, maintenance, and user support
  • Follow up staff for outstanding timesheets
  • Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Support financial and management reporting through accurate data preparation
  • Maintain organised financial and payroll records and support audit and compliance requests
  • Interact with internal staff regarding invoices, expenses, timesheets, and payroll queries
  • Work with accounting, payroll, banking, expense management, and timesheet systems
  • Adhere to internal controls, payroll legislation, policies, and documented procedures
  • Meet recurring deadlines, particularly payroll cycles and month-end close

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in an Accounts Officer, Payroll Officer, or similar transactional finance role
  • Hands-on experience processing payroll end-to-end
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Working knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation, and PAYG requirements
  • Experience using accounting and payroll systems such as MYOB AccountRight, Xero, KeyPay, NetSuite, or similar
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial and payroll data
  • Strong attention to detail and high data accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Experience with multiple entities in a group is an added advantage
  • Highly organised, reliable, and methodical

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, service-oriented team player
  • Proactive, discreet, and comfortable handling sensitive payroll information
  • Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
