Job Description
Area Service Manager overseeing 12V field service operations, technicians, and contractors across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Conducting facility inspections, contractor training, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee field operations within a designated territory or area
- Manage service technicians and independent contractors
- Support and troubleshoot field personnel inquiries
- Maintain continuous education in 12V technology and advancements
- Fulfill daily operational duties for the assigned area
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
- Conduct quality assurance inspections of all facilities at least once quarterly
- Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for customers and employees
- Think independently and consistently resolve service challenges
- Sell to and train new contractor facilities while maintaining and growing the service network
- Support internal departments and personnel
- Submit required reports and expenses in a timely manner
- Direct, coordinate, and participate in corporate initiatives to improve efficiency
- Correspond with management when challenges arise
- Maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and security of pertinent information and records
- Take after-hours and weekend calls
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years' experience as a Service Technician
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent telephone skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to take after-hours and weekend calls
- Adherence to all state and federal rules, regulations, and statutes
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to perform the listed physical tasks, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
