Job Description

Field-based Associate Clinical Specialist supporting Abbott’s cardiac rhythm management products. Providing clinical, technical, educational, and sales support to healthcare professionals and representatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive engineering, sales, educational, and technical support for Cardiac Rhythm Management products
  • Respond to field inquiries from physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and field sales staff
  • Act as a clinical interface between the medical community and the business
  • Build and sustain credible business relationships with customers
  • Provide product expertise and comprehensive clinical support
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of CRM products, related technical knowledge, trends, and industry players
  • Develop, lead, and facilitate training sessions and programs on CRM products for healthcare professionals
  • Provide back-up support to CRM Sales Representatives
  • Work independently and collaborate with engineers, technical specialists, vendors, and customers
  • Travel approximately 20% of the time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, related field or equivalent healthcare experience
  • Minimum of 0–2 years of related experience or a program certification from an accredited cardiac training program
  • Capability to obtain certification in CRM products
  • Knowledge of cardiology, electro-physiology, or cardiac electro-physiology procedures
  • Familiarity with cath lab and operating room procedures and protocol
  • Advanced knowledge of cardiac pacing systems
  • Ability to apply engineering skills to interpret and solve complex clinical problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, analytical, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines effectively
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working independently
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, technical specialists, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and efficiently
  • Extensive personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office or equivalent software
  • Ability to develop presentation materials using graphics, word processing, databases, and authoring programs
