Job Description

Marketing Manager responsible for designing visual content to engage and inspire action for clean water. Collaborating across teams to elevate the mission of American Rivers while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Create visual assets for digital and print, such as factsheets, brochures, invitations, infographics, advertisements, presentations, event materials, social graphics.
  • Provide quality assurance, maintaining consistency with brand guidelines and visual identity.
  • Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.
  • Edit and optimize images for various uses (web, print, social).
  • Coordinate with staff to gather, tag, and catalog new visual content.
  • Edit short-form videos for social media.
  • Assist in cataloging impact stories and publishing content across internal channels.
  • Support planning and logistics for marketing campaigns and events.
  • Draft and proofread content for social media, blogs, website updates, and fundraising materials.
  • Handle various administrative and coordination tasks to support the marketing team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and + 1 yr experience or 2+years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
  • Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software.
  • Video editing experience, preferred.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and tone.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams, while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and good sense of humor.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues in different offices and time zones.
  • Desire to continue building skill set with education and training.
  • Commitment to and passion for the mission of American Rivers.
