Job Description

Billing Operations Specialist ensuring accurate billing in a remote SEO software company. Collaborating across teams to resolve billing discrepancies and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit and monitor billing systems to ensure customers are charged correctly
  • Identify discrepancies (overbilling, underbilling, misapplied discounts, wrong plans)
  • Reconcile billing platform vs internal records
  • Investigate root causes of billing errors (process, data, automation, integrations)
  • Work with Engineering/Support/Product to fix systemic billing issues
  • Partner with Customer Support on escalated billing cases
  • Define and document billing workflows and controls
  • Create ongoing QA checks and reporting to prevent recurrence
  • Own billing accuracy KPIs

Requirements:

  • Experience auditing and monitoring SaaS billing systems
  • Experience reconciling billing platforms with internal systems
  • Strong experience performing root cause analysis on billing issues
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Customer Support, Engineering, and Product teams
  • Experience defining billing workflows, implementing QA controls, and owning billing accuracy KPIs
  • At least 2 years experience in this role or similar
