Job Description
Business Analyst improving enterprise processes, requirements, and integrations for AlmavivA de Belgique. Supporting Agile delivery, testing, documentation, and cross-system workflows remotely from the EU.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business context, drivers, and expected outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations
- Elicit, validate, and document business needs using structured techniques
- Assess current and target business models to identify value streams, capabilities, and operational impacts
- Map and evaluate existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
- Create visual workflow representations using standard notations
- Compare current and desired states to identify capability gaps and potential solutions
- Convert business requirements into functional specifications
- Identify, assess, and document risks, including mitigation strategies
- Prepare and maintain functional and technical documentation
- Develop Business Requirements Documents, Functional Specifications, and User Stories with acceptance criteria
- Define and manage acceptance criteria; support test case design and user acceptance testing
- Maintain requirements traceability and manage change requests
- Document non-functional requirements alongside functional requirements
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders, developers, and testers
- Analyse system integrations, including REST APIs, message-based interactions, data mapping, and cross-system workflows
- Perform impact analysis, assess change requests, maintain and refine the product backlog, and decompose requirements into prioritised user stories
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of complex information systems and the software development lifecycle
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, and iterative software delivery approaches
- Knowledge of requirements analysis and functional decomposition techniques, including functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Experience with requirements and product backlog management using Jira, including prioritisation and refinement of user stories
- Experience with collaboration and documentation platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint
- Knowledge of business process modelling using BPMN and modelling tools such as Enterprise Architect
- Knowledge of procurement management workflows and associated financial and contractual business rules
- Experience with system-to-system integrations, including REST APIs and message-based interactions
- Experience with data mapping, data modelling and validation of cross-system workflows
- Experience defining business rules and validation rules for financial and contractual operations
- Experience in impact analysis and assessment of change requests across interconnected information systems
- Knowledge of SQL for data analysis, validation and investigation of application issues
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI
- Understanding of Java-based enterprise applications and microservice architectures
- Experience preparing and maintaining functional and technical documentation aligned with enterprise architecture and governance requirements
- Experience supporting functional and integration testing and collaborating with product owners, architects, developers and testers
- EU citizenship required
