Job Description
SAP Finance Business Analyst supporting enterprise business and technology initiatives for a consulting client. Translating requirements, analyzing processes, and supporting SAP delivery, testing, and UAT remotely from India.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and requirements
- Leverage SAP Finance functional knowledge to analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders, SAP teams, and other technology teams
- Support requirements analysis, solution design, testing, and implementation activities
- Participate in workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings
- Identify business process gaps and recommend solutions
- Support development and execution of test scenarios and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Assist with issue identification, analysis, and resolution throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain project and requirements documentation
- Communicate project updates, requirements, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise technology environments
- Strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP Finance (FI)
- Strong understanding of finance-related business processes and how they are supported within SAP
- Proven experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Experience working in complex enterprise or consulting environments
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams
- Strong functional knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Financial Accounting, financial reporting, and integration between SAP Finance and other business functions
- Experience with requirements gathering and documentation, functional analysis, business process analysis, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, UAT and testing support, problem solving, written and verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration
- Must be able to work until at least 3:00 PM EST regularly, providing significant overlap with Canadian business hours
