Job Description

Business Development Manager responsible for the broker and travel advisors channels at Allianz Partners in Vancouver. Driving revenue growth through client management and business development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned accounts within the Travel & Broker channels: Deliver best‑in‑class service to partner accounts, ensuring timely, high‑quality support.
  • Lead regular partner check‑ins and performance reviews.
  • Build strong relationships and maintain a deep understanding of partner needs.
  • Coordinate partner visits and training sessions, both onsite and remote.
  • Manage partner renewals and track performance against targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (finance, compliance, licensing, L&D) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work with partners to identify opportunities for additional revenue.
  • Build business cases to prioritize and implement new revenue generating opportunities.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities related to partners’ business.
  • Attend industry events and track market trends to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • College diploma/degree (or equivalent) with background in business, sales, or marketing.
  • 5+ years of sales account or client management experience (insurance industry preferred).
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, client needs, and business development.
  • Experience with modern client management, sales and business development strategies, with a track record of achieving goals.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively, build consensus, and manage diverse relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business and driving client retention and growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels.
  • Self-starter with strong ownership and a drive to improve processes.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is an asset.
  • Proficient with MS Teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Extensive travel required.
