Job Description

Chief Sales Officer leading national sales strategy for a hydration brand. Seeking a strategic leader with a strong track record in beverage CPG sales and retail expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overarching sales strategy, driving revenue growth**across national retail, regional grocery, specialty retail, DSD distribution, and strategic partnerships.
  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performance sales team including:
  • National Account Managers
  • Regional Sales Directors
  • Distributor / DSD management
  • Field sales and merchandising teams
  • Establish a culture of accountability, ownership, and high performance.
  • Drive strategic expansion across major retailers including:
  • Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Kroger, CVS, Costco, Amazon
  • Emerging national and regional accounts
  • Negotiate national contracts, secure premium shelf placement, and execute high-impact retail programs.
  • Work closely with marketing, shopper marketing, and trade marketing to maximize sell-through, promotional effectiveness, and in-store visibility.
  • Serve as the executive relationship owner for key retail partners, distributors, and broker networks.
  • Develop accurate forecasting models and sales plans that support company growth targets.
  • Manage trade spend, retail pricing strategies, and promotional planning to maximize profitability and velocity.
  • Identify New Channels & Market Opportunities**

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of CPG sales leadership experience, with a strong preference for beverage, hydration, or functional nutrition categories.
  • Deep experience working with major national retailers including Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco, Walgreens, and similar accounts.
  • Existing buyer relationships strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record scaling emerging brands from $10M to $100M+ revenue through retail expansion and velocity growth
  • Able to develop long-term strategy while executing at the ground level with retailers, brokers, and distributors**
