Job Description
Web Chat Sales Supervisor leading 12–15 travel-agent consultants for Viking Cruises, a destination-focused ocean, river, and lake cruise company. Coaching sales performance and managing chat operations remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Web Chat Sales team
- Meet established sales goals and produce accurate, complete work
- Provide a high level of service to all customers
- Coach and manage a team of 12–15 travel agent sales consultants, including daily coaching and follow-up on sales behaviors
- Monitor chat sessions to evaluate performance gaps and provide feedback
- Schedule team meetings
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions
- Provide performance improvement plans and document results
- Manage daily payroll review and bi-weekly submission
- Monitor daily attendance and adherence
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams on departmental projects, training and development initiatives, and team-building activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a web chat sales environment
- Previous supervisor experience in a sales capacity
- Strong sales skills and understanding of the sales cycle
- Call center experience within the travel industry preferred
- Coaching and team-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work well in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- Flexible availability for an 8-hour shift, 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day, every week
- High-speed internet access
- Ability to plug equipment into a modem/router
- Must be authorized to work in the United States or not require employment visa sponsorship
