Job Description
Class 3 Operator safely operating Combo Vac and other Class 3 units at Imperial Oil’s Kearl site. Providing industrial vac, water, waste, fuel, and hauling services.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate several types of Class 3 units at the Imperial Oil site (Kearl)
- Operate Combo Vac units
- Complete daily documentation, including logbooks, customer work orders, field-level risk assessments, and pre/post-trip inspections
- Follow instructions from Dispatch or Supervisor
- Complete daily housekeeping of the assigned truck
- Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings
- Adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures
- Maintain and operate BME tools and equipment according to required standards
- Keep all training current
- Follow TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities
- Provide customer-focused service
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years manual transmission experience
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum 3 years of experience with up to 18 speed manual Class 1 or 3 equipment
- Previous or related experience operating Combo Vac units
- TDG knowledgeable
- Mine drive experience is an asset
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification
- Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive
- Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol screening, and fit-for-duty pre-employment screening
- Physically fit and able to work in all kinds of weather
- Mechanically inclined
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
