Job Description
Clinical Consultant implementing BD Medication Systems Infusion solutions across U.S. hospitals. Leading clinical workflows, integrations, training, and customer go-lives with extensive travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership to BD customers implementing interoperability and connectivity products
- Support Project Managers to ensure timely and productive implementations
- Collaborate with hospital clinicians and EMR vendors on policies, procedures, workflows, protocols, resource groups, device education, go-live, and post-implementation clinical rounds
- Facilitate conference calls and customer meetings for hospital system implementations
- Guide customer site assessments and facilitate project design and implementation of BD Medication Systems Infusion products and technologies
- Manage customer teams, gain consensus, and deliver concise and consistent communication
- Provide team support and product information; mentor team members on product and process competency
- Provide basic HL7 message interpretation, resolve failures, and escalate to technical SMEs when appropriate
- Follow up with customers for system assessment, satisfaction, problem solving, and evaluation of BD solutions
- Develop recommendations to maximize customer benefits and solution capabilities
- Provide feedback to Business Operations and Field Trainers to improve implementation methodology, tools, and services
- Install and support BD Medication Systems Infusion hardware and software solutions
- Influence customer acceptance and utilization in multi-site and complex environments
- Serve as a customer support resource when necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years of experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current active nursing license required
- Valid driver license and ability to maintain it
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to work independently from a home office
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends
- Ability to travel 75-100%, including overnight travel
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.; position may involve pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and lifting
- Upon hire, provide proof of and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional facility-appropriate immunizations
- Acute care hospital experience required, preferably with nursing informatics or leadership experience
- Pediatric, NICU, and Oncology experience highly desired
- Specific knowledge of BD business highly desired
- Knowledge of BD Medication Systems Infusion products
- Expert knowledge of hospital clinical workflow processes, hospital data set/drug library build, clinical system integration, clinical device settings, and interface validation
- Expertise in BD Medication Systems Infusion product implementation methodologies and tools or equivalent industry standards
- Basic HL7 message interpretation and failure resolution
- Problem solving, troubleshooting, and system consultation related to clinical workflow and health system standardization
