Job Description
Remote Domain Consultant advising customers on network security transformation and zero trust. Designing solutions and supporting technical wins for Palo Alto Networks, a cybersecurity company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in customers' network security and zero trust journeys
- Define technical solutions that secure customers' key business imperatives
- Evangelize Palo Alto Networks' industry leadership in on-premise, cloud and security services
- Collaborate with sales teams to recommend and develop customer solutions within the assigned specialization
- Present as a technical expert to customers from practitioners through senior leadership
- Lead and support customer demonstrations showcasing the company's value proposition
- Manage technical validation projects for prospective customers and partners using best practices
- Architect solutions that strengthen and simplify customers' security posture
- Document high-level designs and key use cases to support implementation and value realization
- Lead discussions about industry trends and emerging changes in the security landscape
- Discuss product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation
- Serve as the main technical point of contact for Network Security and assist with RFIs/RFPs
- Position Palo Alto Networks or partner-delivered services to support implementation and value realization
- Discuss competitive marketplace offerings and position Palo Alto Networks as the best alternative
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in pre-sales/sales engineering within Zero Trust, Networking, Network Security, SaaS Security or SSE/SASE
- Experience with L2-L4 Networking, including L2 switching architectures, Spanning Tree, VLANs/trunking, IP routing, static routes, OSPF, BGP, route redistribution, and L4 load-balancing
- Outstanding customer communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with customers and demonstrating problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
- Solid understanding of NGFW, Network Security, SASE, SD-WAN, CASB, Proxy, DLP and BYOD solutions
- Advanced knowledge of on-premise and cloud-delivered network security technologies
- Proficient in English
- Ability to support in-person customer meetings and travel as required for this field sales position
