Job Description
Contracts Manager responsible for key contractual workstreams in Cubic's transportation division. Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations while providing service and oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a commercial service to the business, ensuring that Cubic complies with its contractual obligations
- Hold responsibility for key contractual workstreams on major Cubic contracts
- Support specific departments with commercial oversight and issue resolution
- Monitor the status of all contract deliverables for compliance with contract requirements
- Collaborate with Project Manager to develop effective strategies and recommendations to management for resolution of contractual issues
- Co-ordinate submission and negotiation of contract proposals, including change orders
- Prepare contractual documents such as licenses, SLA agreements and NDAs
- Manage variations from receipt to closure including approving and signing of responses and price builds
- Manage, negotiate and mitigate the damaging effect of claims made on Cubic by customers, sub-contractors and/or suppliers
Requirements:
- Proven experience in effective contract preparation, negotiation, and administration
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to provide workable solutions to address a wide variety of contractual challenges
- Strong ability to prioritise assignments and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Proficient in standard office IT tools (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Comfortable working with contract management and collaboration platforms
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with or within European and public sector procurement frameworks (desirable)
- Practical experience in project coordination or project management (desirable)
- Comfortable operating in a cross-functional environment (desirable)
- A general understanding of the technologies used in ticketing or transport systems (helpful but not essential)
- Full clean driving licence (desirable)
- Degree in relevant technical or business discipline and/or equivalent level of experience (essential)
- Legal qualification and/or professional procurement/contract management qualification (desirable)
