Job Description

Customer Engagement Representative supporting Cencora’s U.S. animal-health distribution services. Handling account orders, customer service, proactive sales calls, and territory support remotely in Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Territory Manager on sales strategies to maximize revenue with assigned and prospective accounts
  • Answer incoming calls from assigned accounts to take sales orders and handle customer service issues
  • Initiate proactive calls to established accounts to grow sales revenue and develop customer loyalty
  • Assist accounts in researching and purchasing stocked and non-stocked items from Animal Health and manufacturer partners
  • Deliver excellent customer service by communicating with purchasers and using reference materials as needed
  • Assist accounts with questions or concerns while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude
  • Assist accounts with returns of incorrect or damaged merchandise within established guidelines
  • Attend weekly sales meetings about new products, industry changes, and Animal Health changes
  • Process orders for the assigned territory
  • Monitor backorder status for accounts
  • Gather and share information regarding assigned territory or accounts with the Territory Manager partner
  • Contact accounts to gather information, offer specials and programs, and communicate relevant industry information
  • Support general queue sales calls

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology or bachelor’s degree in an animal health field or equivalent agricultural degree is preferred
  • 3 years’ experience working in a veterinary clinic or 2 or more years of progressively responsible experience in an animal health call center environment is preferred
  • Knowledge and proficiency in explaining, selling, and administering products
  • Ability to speak effectively in individual or group situations
  • Customer-oriented and responsive to customer needs and priorities
  • Ability to respond quickly to changes in day-to-day operations
  • Ability to develop work objectives and action plans
  • Ability to pursue commitments and action plans until objectives are achieved
  • Ability to work 8am–5pm CST
  • Travel requirements are minimal
