Job Description

Digital Marketing Performance Principal overseeing optimization of a multimillion dollar digital media budget. Focus on customer acquisition through paid search, social, and display channels to maximize ROI.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day performance of Paid Search (SEM), Paid Social (Meta/Google), and Display/Programmatic channels.
  • Dynamically shift budgets between channels and campaigns based on real-time performance to hit monthly acquisition targets.
  • Partner with Finance and Sales Operations to provide accurate lead and acquisition forecasts based on planned marketing spend.
  • Monitor performance from the initial click to the final install, ensuring a high-quality handoff to the Inside Sales team.
  • Lead a rigorous test-and-learn culture, constantly iterating on ad copy, creative assets, and landing page experiences to lower CPAs.
  • Leverage AI for audience modeling, predictive bidding, and automated creative testing to stay ahead of market shifts.
  • Translate complex digital metrics (CTR, CPC, ROAS) into business outcomes (Cost Per Signature, Cost Per Install) for executive leadership.
  • Ensure all digital advertising adheres to Sunrun’s brand guidelines and compliance policies.
  • Lead the brainstorming and conceptualization of high-converting ad formats (e.g., UGC, static, motion graphics, short-form video) tailored for Meta, TikTok, Google, and other paid channels.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify why creative succeeds or fails, translating those insights into fresh, actionable creative hypotheses and briefs.
  • Keep a pulse on paid media trends, platform updates, and competitor strategies to continually inject fresh ideas into our creative mix.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years in performance-based digital marketing, specifically managing large-scale budgets in a high-growth environment.
  • Expert-level mastery of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and Salesforce/CRM.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and multi-touch attribution models.
  • A natural inclination for rapid-fire problem-solving and the ability to prioritize tasks based on their immediate impact on revenue.
  • Proficiency in using AI-assisted tools for data synthesis and program building.
  • Exceptional ability to convey digital strategy to non-technical stakeholders, including Directors and VPs.
