Job Description

Director of Business Intelligence at DLB Associates overseeing enterprise data analytics. Leading analytics teams and establishing BI standards while modernizing data estate on Azure Data Lake.

Responsibilities:

  • The Director, Business Intelligence is the strategic leader of the Company’s enterprise data, analytics, and forecasting capabilities
  • This role transforms data scattered across CRM, ERP, HRIS, project performance, and financial systems into a unified, decision-grade intelligence layer
  • The Director sets the technical and operational direction for the Business Intelligence platform, builds and leads a high-performing analytics team, and ensures quality, accuracy, and executive usability of every metric, dashboard, and forecast
  • This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining BI platform standards, modernizing the data and analytics estate on Azure Data Lake and Microsoft Fabric
  • Lead the design and delivery of an integrated forecasting capability and provide leadership with what-if scenario tooling that models the downstream impacts of business decisions
  • Ensure alignment between platform architecture, analytics delivery, and business needs.

Requirements:

  • Advanced understanding of the Microsoft data and BI ecosystem, including Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Azure Data Lake, and Microsoft Fabric
  • Strong working knowledge of data integration, dimensional modeling, semantic layer design, and modern lakehouse architecture sufficient to set technical direction without serving as the hands-on engineer
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise forecasting and scenario-planning capabilities that integrate data across CRM, ERP, HRIS, and project or operational systems
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to translate complex data and analytics into clear, decision-ready insight for C-suite audiences, with the executive presence to influence decisions and the storytelling ability to make data land
  • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing BI and analytics teams, including establishing delivery practices, modeling standards, and operational cadence
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technology and adapting to evolving requirements
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
