Job Description
Marketing director leading Cortiva portfolio strategy for Evergen, a regenerative medicine CDMO. Driving surgeon insights, commercialization, innovation, and cross-functional growth in reconstructive surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the long-range strategic marketing strategy for the Cortiva portfolio within reconstructive surgery
- Develop market growth strategies supporting product adoption, approved product positioning, and long-term portfolio value
- Lead marketing components of the annual operating plan and 5-year long-range plan
- Develop understanding of reconstructive surgery markets, surgeon workflows, competitive dynamics, reimbursement trends, and emerging technologies
- Conduct Voice of Customer activities with plastic and reconstructive surgeons and other stakeholders
- Lead market segmentation, customer prioritization, and competitive intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitive products, campaigns, and emerging technologies
- Own upstream product strategy across the Cortiva portfolio
- Define product positioning, customer value propositions, pricing strategy, and commercialization planning
- Develop business cases for portfolio expansion and future product development
- Translate surgeon insights into product requirements and innovation priorities
- Lead cross-functional product planning from concept through commercialization
- Prioritize innovation investments based on customer and clinical need, commercial opportunity, and strategic fit
- Partner with Clinical Affairs on evidence-generation priorities and commercialization strategy
- Identify customer questions, evidence gaps, and potential research or educational needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with leading plastic and reconstructive surgeons
- Support advisory boards, scientific exchange, educational initiatives, and healthcare professional engagements
- Represent customer and market insights throughout the commercial organization
- Travel 40% of the time
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of progressive marketing leadership within medical devices, biologics, regenerative medicine, or surgical technologies
- Minimum 5 years of upstream strategic marketing experience and people management
- Ability to operate effectively within highly regulated and scientifically complex markets
- Experience navigating promotional, educational, and scientific exchange activities and boundaries among Commercial, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance
- Strong experience supporting Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery customers
- Demonstrated success commercializing biologic, regenerative medicine, soft tissue reconstruction, or implantable surgical technologies
- Experience partnering with R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Sales, and other cross-functional teams
- Experience leading cross-functional teams within a regulated medical device or biologics environment
- Experience with human tissue allografts, extracellular matrix products, acellular tissue technologies, or other biologic products strongly preferred
- Preferred industry experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, biologic implants, human tissue allografts, regenerative medicine, soft tissue reconstruction, implantable surgical technologies, wound reconstruction, tissue engineering, extracellular matrix technologies, or surgical biologics
