Job Description
Editorial and media professionals auditing AI-generated work for Mercor's frontier AI training projects. Reviewing realism, factual accuracy, grading quality, and practitioner usability.
Responsibilities:
- Audit AI-generated work product in the applicant's editorial or media field
- Review the original task, the AI agent's work, produced files, and the AI grader's scoresheet
- Assess whether tasks are realistic for the relevant profession
- Verify domain content, standards, figures, regulations, terminology, and constraints
- Review and challenge the grader's eleven yes/no judgments
- Independently band the work and determine whether the reported score is defensible
- Assess whether a practitioner could use or accept the work
- Write a short reason for every judgment
- Complete approximately one item per hour without performing or redoing the underlying task
Requirements:
- Apply to one role: Editors; News Analysts, Reporters and Journalists; or Film and Video Editors
- Editors: 4+ years editing other people's copy to a house style, with responsibility for what was published
- News Analysts, Reporters and Journalists: 4+ years reporting and filing your own stories, with sourcing you had to stand behind
- Film and Video Editors: 4+ years cutting finished pieces on a professional timeline, delivered to a client or a broadcast spec
- Professional experience and strong knowledge of the relevant field
- Near-native business English
- Comfort using spreadsheets or PDFs to check whether numbers reconcile
- Independent contractor engagement
- Must not require H1-B or STEM OPT support
