Job Description

Senior Medical Editor editing pharmaceutical advertising and medical communications for EVERSANA INTOUCH, a global life sciences marketing agency. Leading complex brands, launches, reviews, and editorial quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit digital and print pharmaceutical advertising materials, internal and external presentations, and corporate communications
  • Perform medical editing, copyediting, proofreading and fact checking
  • Edit for language clarity, consistency, brand and messaging accuracy, tone, cohesiveness, flow, organization, client and AMA style, grammar, spelling, typographical errors and formatting
  • Support reviews with AI tools
  • Participate in content review throughout all project stages, including fact checking with accurate referencing
  • Manage and resource numerous brand tasks with competing deadlines
  • Coordinate coverage with Editorial team members
  • Interface with Creative, Account, Project Management and other teammates to prioritize projects and facilitate completion while maintaining quality
  • Lead assigned launches and support agency team and launch tasks
  • Represent Editorial at internal kickoff and status meetings
  • Create and maintain client and brand style guides
  • Onboard and mentor junior team members
  • Support departmental best-practice and process initiatives
  • Alert Editorial management to editorial process or quality concerns and help resolve issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required
  • 5+ years of editing experience within a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency environment
  • Thorough knowledge of current AMA style
  • Experience with medical/regulatory/legal reviews
  • Familiarity with FDA requirements for drug promotion
  • Comfort and confidence with medical/pharma and industry terminology
  • Extremely detail oriented, thorough and accurate
  • Experience managing rapidly shifting priorities and deadlines in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to take ownership, be accountable and work independently
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
