Job Description
Email Design Lead shaping visual systems and campaigns for a US retention agency serving 9-figure DTC brands. Leading designers while remaining hands-on across diverse ecommerce categories.
Responsibilities:
- Design the first emails for every new client
- Build each brand's visual system, including typography, photography treatment, color, merchandising, and motion where appropriate
- Own design quality across the agency's book of business
- Lead, brief, critique, and develop graphic designers
- Provide campaign-level art direction for weekly sends, promotions, and product drops
- Partner with strategists and copywriters to turn briefs into polished email campaigns
- Push back on briefs that would produce generic work
- Adapt visual direction across fashion, beauty, CPG, and accessories categories
- Run critiques, take briefs, and participate in client calls in English
- Protect the 9am–5pm EST working window every working day
Requirements:
- Experience at an agency serving 8–9-figure ecommerce/DTC brands, with agency and brand names provided
- Exceptional email portfolio demonstrating campaign art direction, custom display type, treated photography, and designed merchandising
- Continued hands-on design ability; the first work for a new client must be personally designed
- Prior experience leading designers, including briefing, redlining, and improving work
- Mastery of Figma
- Adobe proficiency assumed
- Ability to build for Klaviyo without producing generic Klaviyo-style designs
- Range across fashion, beauty, CPG, and accessories
- Fluent professional English, spoken and written
- Based in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, or Ecuador
- Ability and willingness to work 9am–1pm EST; the role description also specifies holding 9am–5pm EST every working day
- Portfolio link required; portfolio must show email work, or closest shareable editorial/campaign work if email work is under NDA
