Job Description

Deal Desk Consultant structuring and negotiating software contracts for Hyland's enterprise content platform. Advising sales on pricing, licensing, revenue recognition, and complex commercial agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Create deal structures and execute deal management activities
  • Coordinate resolution of deal-related issues
  • Advise sales on complex requirements and structure mutually beneficial agreements
  • Analyse and assess sales opportunities
  • Negotiate terms that maximise company profitability while delivering customer value
  • Execute the full contract lifecycle from initiation to completion
  • Advise sales and leadership on complex contracts and process-related questions
  • Develop unique deal structures using knowledge of Hyland's product portfolio and offerings
  • Negotiate business terms with customers and prospects
  • Lead creation of negotiated pricing terms and parameters for non-standard arrangements
  • Review, investigate, and resolve contractual questions and issues
  • Participate in sales forecasting meetings
  • Prioritise legal workloads based on specified criteria
  • Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to team members
  • Contribute to development of a high-performing Deal Desk function and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a Deal Desk Analyst in a software or technology environment
  • Experience in software sales or contract negotiation within the software industry
  • Strong understanding of deal structuring and commercial terms
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition guidelines and company accounting rules
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of contractual agreements and licensing strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate business terms directly with customers and prospects
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills
  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members
  • Exceptional follow-through and customer-service-driven mindset
  • Highest standards of integrity when handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Knowledge of the UK financial-services market, including relevant regulatory and commercial considerations
  • Proven deal design and contracting experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and deal management
