Job Description
Events Delivery Coordinator aiding British Rowing in planning and delivering Championship events. Involves coordination of logistics and collaboration with teams to broaden event offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as overall lead for an agreed selection of our Championship events.
- Coordination of accommodation and catering arrangements, and suppliers for all Championship events.
- Assisting with recruitment, retention and remuneration of volunteers.
- Support with administration of finance process.
- Working as part of the Events and Competitions team to review and develop the overall event offering (competitive and non-competitive) across the sport to make rowing more relevant, connected and accessible.
- Working closely with the Communications and Marketing team to jointly develop and agree on event marketing and communications plans.
Requirements:
- Strong planning and organisational skills with evidence of delivering to deadlines.
- The ability to build and sustain relationships with a network of key people internally and externally.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and negotiation skills, and the ability to multi-task.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with a willingness to travel and work flexibly (including some evenings and weekends).
- IT literate.
- Passionate about sport.
- Calm under pressure.
- Eagerness to innovate and a desire to learn.
- A UK driving licence and the willingness to drive a van to/at events where required.
- Has worked/volunteered at sporting events previously (desirable).
- Awareness and understanding of the sporting events landscape in the UK (desirable).
- An understanding of venue operations (desirable).
