Job Description
Events Marketing Manager owning DemandTec’s retail and CPG tradeshows, customer experiences, webinars, and networking events. Converting event investment into qualified pipeline and measurable ROI.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end planning and execution for core industry events, including Groceryshop, NRF, NACS, FMI Midwinter, and other Retail/CPG/grocery and convenience-channel shows
- Manage the full event lifecycle, including contracting, budget, booth strategy and design, sponsorship selection, staffing, shipping/logistics, on-site execution, and post-event wrap-up
- Partner with Sales leadership on pre-show account targeting, hosted meeting programs, and happy hour/VIP moments
- Build and manage pre-show, on-site, and post-show campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and direct mail
- Design and run customer appreciation dinners, receptions, and VIP experiences
- Support customer validation and advisory sessions with Customer Success and Product Marketing
- Conceive and produce virtual experiential events beyond standard webinars
- Own the self-hosted Zoom and HubSpot webinar program from topic development through follow-up sequencing
- Partner with Growth and Product Marketing to align virtual events with campaigns, content, and product launches
- Plan and execute regional dinners, meetups, and industry mixers
- Serve as the primary Marketing liaison to Sales for event attendance and pipeline goals
- Build a repeatable pre-, during-, and post-event playbook with target account lists, lead capture and scoring, and SLA'd follow-up
- Track and report event performance in HubSpot across Influenced, MQL, SAL, SQL, and Opportunity stages
- Own the events budget, negotiate contracts and sponsorships, manage spend, and optimize the event calendar for ROI
- Report to the CMO and collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Growth, SDRs, and AEs
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of experience in B2B events, field marketing, or experiential marketing, ideally at a SaaS or technology company selling into Retail, CPG, grocery, or convenience verticals
- Track record running tradeshow programs from booth strategy through execution
- Experience owning a webinar/virtual events program end-to-end
- Demonstrated ability to partner closely with Sales, set joint goals, drive attendee lists, and focus on pipeline outcomes
- Experience designing creative, non-standard virtual and in-person activations
- Comfort owning budgets and vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Hands-on fluency with HubSpot or comparable marketing automation/CRM for campaign build, lead routing, and ROI reporting
- Experience with Zoom for webinar production
- Excellent written and verbal communication and comfort presenting plans and results to Sales leadership and executives
- Willingness to travel approximately 25%, including some evenings/weekends around show schedules
- Nice to have: experience marketing to grocery, CPG, retail, or convenience-store audiences
- Nice to have: familiarity with ABM programs and named-account event targeting
- Nice to have: experience with lead-capture/badge-scanning tools such as Validar and event technology stacks
