Job Description

Field Service Technician commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting CV Technology’s fire and explosion protection systems. Providing customer training, emergency service, reporting, and extensive travel across North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Commission CV Technology explosion mitigation systems
  • Verify the functionality of CV Technology protection systems
  • Provide familiarization training for plant personnel
  • Provide outstanding service to clients
  • Provide emergency services in the event of system activation
  • Complete written reports for commissioning, maintenance, and emergency service site visits
  • Submit personal expenses and book travel accommodations
  • Quote spare parts and/or services
  • Support customers at locations across North America through approximately 60% travel for system startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Prioritize safety and customer satisfaction while supporting CV Technology’s fire and explosion protection mission

Requirements:

  • Approximately 60% travel to customer locations throughout North America, normally 2–3 days per week
  • Customer focus and customer friendliness are absolute requirements
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, expense reporting, and travel booking
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift and carry a 50-pound load a distance of 20 feet
  • Ability to safely work inside or outside at elevated heights from a ladder, man-lift, or platform
  • Ability to safely climb a 25-foot ladder, A-frame, extension, or fixed ladder
  • Ability to safely work and/or stand on one’s feet for an extended period
  • Ability to safely function in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • Ability to implement safety measures during rain, snow, high winds, and other weather conditions
  • Instrumentation and controls experience preferred
  • Field service and/or mechanical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and low-voltage wiring preferred
  • 1–2 years of heavy-travel role experience highly preferred
