Job Description
Freelance German linguist performing MTPE and translation for Acclaro’s IT and software localization projects. Reviewing content for accuracy, fluency, consistency, and naturalness.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) of Catalan content.
- Occasionally provide human translation when required.
- Review and edit translated content to ensure linguistic accuracy, fluency, consistency, and naturalness.
- Work on IT and software-related content, following project-specific guidelines and terminology.
Requirements:
- Native-level German proficiency.
- At least 3+ years of professional localization experience as a linguist, translator, or MTPE specialist.
- Proven experience in IT/software localization.
- Excellent command of German grammar, style, and terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across large volumes of content.
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
- Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows is highly desirable.
