Job Description
Head of Accounting leading the financial operations at Eigen Labs. Collaborating across teams for strategic decision-making and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and support the accounting team while driving automation and efficient operations.
- Build cross-functional relationships to drive process improvements, ensure smooth operations, and resolve issues.
- Support corporate planning processes with financial insights and forecasts.
- Provide guidance in all aspects of accounting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies and support overall business objectives.
- Support internal and external audits and navigate evolving regulatory landscape.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience, including ownership of close, controls, and audit processes, ideally in a high-growth startup or crypto environment.
- Hands-on experience with crypto-native accounting, including token-related activities, treasury management, and on-chain/off-chain reconciliation.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with international accounting standards.
- Deep understanding of cryptocurrency tax, regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal controls.
- Experience supporting audits and tax compliance from either side of the table, ideally both.
- Resourceful self-management skills with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
